Now, you have to be living under a rock to not have heard all of the fuss over this movie. I was actually a little scared that it wouldn't live up to all of the hype but I'm happy to say that it certainly did! This one definitely has a more modern spin on the classic Disney movie for sure. The music was incredible but one song in particular stood out to me . . .Let it Go by Idina Menzel.
Spoilers ahead . . .not that I would EVER discourage anyone from reading my blog but if you haven't seen the movie, you may want to stop reading and just head on over to my portfolio pages to check out some of my recent work :)
I really fell in love with Elsa's character in this movie. Here is this girl who has had to conceal a part of her for her entire life and now by sheer accident, she is able to express herself freely. This song "Let it Go" celebrates her newfound freedom and it is extremely powerful . . .not to mention Idina Menzel sings it beautifully!
As random as this blog post seems, it really isn't. I am really able to relate to Elsa's character in my photography business. My entire life I have felt that I have a very creative spirit but could never figure out a way to express myself. I consider myself to be moderately artistic. Usually my art that my hands create is not nearly as beautiful as the idea in my head. . .However, my photography is the exception. This is the only creative outlet that I felt was a true representation of my creative vision. I love the challenge of trying new techniques and learning new things. I love showing people the beauty that they possess!
I'd love to hear what you thought about the movie! Did any part of it or theme stick out to you?
